After breakfast, depart Arusha and drive toward the remote Lake Natron region, passing through Maasai land and dramatic Rift Valley landscapes. Enjoy views of volcanic mountains, open plains, and traditional Maasai villages along the way.

Arrive at Lake Natron in the afternoon, check in, and enjoy lunch. Later, take a guided walk to Ngare Sero Waterfalls, where you can relax, swim, and explore the scenic gorge. In the late afternoon, enjoy a peaceful walk along the lake shore to observe flamingos and other birdlife as the sun sets behind the volcanoes.

Main Destination: Oldonyo Lengai & Lake Natron
Accommodation: Maasai Eco Boma Lodge (Budget Lodge)

Around midnight or pre-dawn, depart with an experienced local guide for the Oldonyo Lengai night trek. The ascent is steep and physically demanding, requiring good fitness and determination.

Reach the summit around sunrise and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Lake Natron, the Great Rift Valley, and surrounding volcanoes. After time at the summit, descend carefully back to the base of the mountain.

Return to the lodge for brunch and rest. The afternoon is free for relaxation, optional short nature walks, or cultural interaction with the local Maasai community.

After an early breakfast, enjoy a final guided nature walk around Lake Natron, an important breeding ground for flamingos. Learn about the lake’s unique alkaline ecosystem while enjoying excellent photography and bird-watching opportunities.

Later, visit a nearby Maasai village for a cultural experience, gaining insight into traditional lifestyles, customs, and the Maasai’s strong connection to the land.

After lunch or a packed meal, begin the scenic drive back to Arusha, passing rugged terrain and Maasai homesteads.
