Upon early arrival in Dar es Salaam, you will be assisted to the domestic terminal for your scheduled flight to Kigoma.

On arrival, meet your safari team for a short briefing before beginning the overland journey toward Mahale Mountains National Park, passing through lakeside villages such as Ilagala and Sigunga. From the shore of Lake Tanganyika, continue by boat transfer (approx. 1 hour) to Mahale.

After check-in, enjoy a relaxed evening walk along the beach, watching the sunset over the lake.

After an early breakfast, head into the forest with a professional ranger for a guided chimpanzee trekking experience. Mahale is renowned for its high success rate and natural chimp behavior.

Return to camp for lunch and spend the afternoon relaxing on the beach, swimming in the crystal-clear waters of Lake Tanganyika, or enjoying the peaceful surroundings.

Enjoy a slow morning with breakfast overlooking the lake. You may choose an optional second chimp trek, birdwatching, or a guided forest walk.

In the afternoon, enjoy fishing, or quiet beach time. As the day winds down, embark on a sunset boat cruise, spotting crocodiles and hippos while enjoying romantic lake views.

After breakfast, transfer by boat back to the mainland and continue by road to Kigoma town.

Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax. In the late afternoon, enjoy an optional guided town walk to experience local culture and daily life along Lake Tanganyika.
