After breakfast, transfer to Zanzibar or Dar es Salaam Airport for a scheduled light aircraft flight to Mikumi National Park.

Upon arrival at Mikumi Airstrip, meet your private family safari guide and begin an afternoon game drive across the Mkata Floodplain, one of Tanzania’s most wildlife-rich areas. Expect sightings of elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, wildebeest, hippos, and lions in wide-open landscapes ideal for family viewing and photography.

Later in the afternoon, drive to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive when wildlife is most active. This is a perfect opportunity for children to learn about animal behavior, tracking, and conservation from your guide.

Late morning, depart Mikumi by private 4x4 safari vehicle and drive to Nyerere National Park, passing through scenic countryside, villages, and forested landscapes. The journey offers insight into rural Tanzania and allows flexible comfort stops along the way.

Arrive at your lodge in time for late lunch and relaxation before dinner.

After breakfast, enjoy a guided boat safari on the Rufiji River, one of the highlights of Nyerere National Park. From the comfort of the boat, observe hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and abundant birdlife, a calm and safe activity especially enjoyable for families.

After lunch and rest time at the lodge, head out on an afternoon game drive exploring Nyerere’s vast and untouched wilderness. Look out for elephants, lions, buffalo, giraffes, and African wild dogs.

Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

After an early breakfast, depart Nyerere by road and drive back to Mikumi National Park.

Upon arrival, enjoy a final morning game drive, offering last chances to spot elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and birdlife before your safari concludes.
