After breakfast, begin your journey north toward the remote and wildlife-rich Northern Serengeti. This scenic drive doubles as a game drive, passing through migration corridors and less-traveled regions of the park.

Arrive in the Mara River region in the afternoon, where vast herds of wildebeest and zebras gather along the riverbanks. Crocodiles, hippos, and stalking predators create constant tension ideal conditions for storytelling wildlife photography.

Settle into SERO Tented Camp, strategically located close to river crossing points.

Today is dedicated entirely to the Mara River, offering maximum flexibility to wait for and respond to river crossing activity.

Spend the day observing wildebeest and zebra herds building courage, retreating, regrouping, and when the moment comes charging into the river amid crocodile-infested waters. These moments offer some of the most dramatic wildlife images on Earth.

A picnic lunch will be enjoyed near the river, allowing uninterrupted observation and photography.

Another full day in Northern Serengeti allows continued focus on migration movements and predator activity.

Beyond river crossings, the area offers exceptional Big Five sightings, including elephants crossing open plains, lions following herds, and leopards resting in riverine trees. Birdlife along the riverbanks adds further photographic diversity.

Return to camp in the evening for rest and image review.

After breakfast, depart Northern Serengeti and journey back toward Central Serengeti with game viewing en route.

This transition day offers fresh landscapes and new wildlife encounters, including open plains, kopjes, and resident predator territories. Arrive back at Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge in the late afternoon.
